Do I have to walk my dog on a leash around the Monteverde community?
With the exception of the on-site dog park, where your dog can run off-leash, you do have to walk your dog on a leash. It’s important for safety reasons that dogs be on a leash and under direct control of a supervising person. While you may have trained your dog to stay by your side, dogs can sometimes get excited (squirrel!) and run up to other dogs or people of different temperaments, which could cause an unfortunate event.
